Rules of entry to border zone for foreign citizens

Entry (pass), temporary stay and movement in the border zone for foreign citizens and stateless persons permanently residing outside the Republic of Belarus

For entering the border zone the following documents are required:

  • valid passport or other document for travel abroad (issued by the appropriate authorities of citizenship or habitual residence of foreign citizens or stateless persons, or international organizations);
  • A pass, issued by border guards.

The pass can be individual or group.

For obtaining a pass it is necessary to file an application with attached:

  • document for traveling abroad;
  • documents confirming the purpose of entry (the invitation, study request and others).

Validity of a pass must not exceed the validity of the identity document and a permit for temporary stay of a foreign citizen in the Republic of Belarus.
The maximum period of pass validity - 2 years.

Passes are issued to foreign citizens who are older than 14 years. Entry, temporary stay and movement in the border zone of foreigners under the age of 14, is carried out on the basis of the identity document.

Passes are issued for a period not exceeding five working days from the date of registration of the application.
With passport and a pass foreign citizens may freely move within the territory specified in the pass.

Obtaining registration of temporary stay in electronic form does not grant the right of entry, temporary stay and movement in the border zone.
