Issues concerning agreed mechanism for providing assistance to refugees at the Belarusian-Polish border were discussed today at the border service headquarter
On 10th of November, the Chairman of the State Border Committee (SBC) of the Republic of Belarus, Lieutenant-General Anatoly Lappo, met with the Heads of the Delegations of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees and the International Organization for Migration, the Belarus Red Cross.
The Head of the SBC informed the participants about the details of the crisis situation at the Belarusian-Polish border, described the real conditions of refugees in a spontaneous camp.
The participants of the discussion assessed the possibilities of cooperation and the procedure for providing humanitarian assistance to refugees in vulnerability. In the upcoming days the delegations will go to the border.
